A Nice Finish to 2008 for PickLogic

PickLogic has made its last selection for 2008 (a win on the 30th as the Clippers-Kings game went UNDER the total of 191), and we wrap up the final two months of the year with up a healthy 7.69% -- +2.75% for November and +4.94% for December

Our win-loss record for the two months combined was 16-12 (6-6 and 10-6, respectively), but our focus is on the +7.69%: if you followed our money management recommendations, someone who was managing a "$10,000 account" (as we display on our general results page) had the following statistics:

  • Actual money at risk, maximum: $847 (meaning that even if you had $10,000 in a sportsbook account, no more than $847 was ever at risk)

  • Net profit: $769

  • Effective net gain: $769/$847 = +90.8%

Now, we're not in any way advocating that PickLogic is going to return a 90%+ gain in two months. We highly recommend that if you're managing a $10,000 account, you actually have the majority of that money "in play" (deposited in a sportsbook), even if you're likely not going to need to touch it. The goal of PickLogic is to manage your risk to appropriate levels, keeping all wagers at a small % of the overall account.

But the numbers are impressive, nonetheless. And hopefully, not unusual -- we expect similar results for the rest of the NBA season (roughly 2-4% monthly gains).

So our last pick has been made for 2008; the first selection for next year will likely be on the 2nd or 3rd of January. Have a safe and happy New Year!

PickLogic.com Starts Making Picks for the 2008-09 NBA Season!

Hello, PickLogic subscribers and followers!

Time to start posting on the PickLogic corporate blog, as we start making picks on PickLogic.com for the 2008-2009 NBA season. If you're already a member, thanks for your patronage.

If you're NOT a member yet, we invite you to sign up for a no-strings-attached absolutely FREE trial membership: you'll get to see all of the PickLogic picks for an entire month. At the end of your month, you can either choose to become a paid subscriber, or your membership will be canceled for you; there's no obligation either way. We just believe that you can only see the value by experiencing the picks on a daily basis. (Just go to the site and click on "Free Trial".)

Keep checking the Blog, where we'll post throughout the season about how PickLogic works (and about the picks that are being made). We think it'll be very insightful for you to hear from those of us that are administering PickLogic -- we're really just following the system, just like you.

Our employees all have PickLogic accounts, and do the same things that our clients do. We want to remind everyone that our winning percentage -- while not completely irrelevant -- only tells a small part of the story. We'll talk more about that as we post more.

The PickLogic Team
