Nice Little Streak Here...
After going 2-8 over a 10-game stretch spanning December and the first part of January, PickLogic has rebounded to win 7 of the next 9 (including 4 in a row, with tonight's win). It's not terribly surprising, given our history: the picks will nearly always radiate towards the .500 mark (with our historical success rate sitting at 54% over the course of nearly 500 picks over the past 3 years).
We always tell people that if you're using PickLogic picks to gamble with, you're probably going to lose over the long run -- really, you need to win 55% of your games just to break even, given the 10% juice charged by most bookmakers. You should really never rely on the PickLogic methodology of game selections if you're just betting on one game.
But combine a 54% winning percentage with a money management system, and the exceptional "quirk"(the key to the system, of course) that comes with never losing 6 games in a row, and you've got something. While nearly all market indicators in general are down for 2008, PickLogic subscribers have experienced a growth of 5.7% in the 39 days of the year so far.
For our non-members, to put that into financial terms, if you had a $10,000 starting balance, you'd be up $570 so far this year. A $50,000 account would have returned $2850, and our $100,000 clients are up $5700 already. (The average starting balance of our clients is around $40,000.) Of course, you don't need to have your entire starting balance "in play" at any given point. (In fact, just 10% would have been sufficient all year so far.)
So will we win 7 of our next 9? Probably not, but the system can certainly run quite "hot" from time to time. Just keep following the e-mails -- don't get greedy, and you'll make another 3+% in February. And hopefully, in March, and every month this year.
