PickLogic's NBA Season (So Far)
It seems like the NBA season has just started, but we're already nearly two full months into it. PickLogic's performance over the past 50 days has been pretty much what we expected: a 15-11 win-loss record, and - more importantly - a 6.98% positive increase.
But PickLogic's true effectiveness is always measured in the same way: by how well we avoid long losing streaks. (If you haven't noticed by now, the whole system is based on that specific element. Avoid long losing streaks, and the value of our clients' portfolios continues to move ahead steadily.)
How have we done through the first part of the NBA season? Two 3-game losing streaks, one 2-game losing streak...and that's it. (And we've thrown in two 5-game winning streaks, for good measure.)
(So...in other words...pretty good. Hence the nearly 7% gain in less than two months. And our 2009 goal was to be over 30%, and - at +33.4% so far and just 10 days to go - that looks like a safe bet as well!)
Accordingly, we want to thank you all for your continued patronage; especially our new members (PickLogic.com has gained more new members in the past two months than we had in the first 10 months of the year combined). Please don't hesitate to let us know what you like (or don't like) about PickLogic, and how/if we can improve it in any way. You might be surprised to see how quickly you get a response if you send it to support@picklogic.com; at least one of our Customer Service representatives is nearly always on call.
We'll wrap this post by giving you all of the picks that "qualify" for Monday's games; note that - as usual - only one made the grade as the official selection. (And that we expect to go 3-1 or 2-2 with these selections.)
Monday's Qualifying Picks:
- Milwaukee/Indiana, UNDER the total of 202.5
- Utah/Orlando, UNDER the total of 204
- Sacramento/Chicago, UNDER the total of 200.5
- LA Clippers/San Antonio, OVER the total of 193 (*this is the pick*)
Thanks again, and have a great holiday season and a happy new year.

Nice Start to the 2009-10 PickLogic Basketball Season
This has been a very good month of November for PickLogic so far: for starters, PickLogic has seen record numbers in both paid subscribers and interested users going through their free trial. (PickLogic is up nearly 30% for the year; even the skeptics have to admit that it just works!)
After a baseball season that saw a nearly 19% increase in our clients' portfolios, we're quite pleased to have rewarded everyone's continued faith with a very nice start to the 2009-2010 basketball campaign.
Tonight, we won our 5th game in a row to put our early-season record at 6-3, returning a healthy 2.99% gain in the half-completed calendar month.
PickLogic generally shoots for a 2-4% gain each month, so we're right on target. Though we don't expect to win 5 in a row very often, just as we don't expect to lose 5 in a row - the PickLogic system is built specifically to avoid long streaks (though we've certainly seen longer winning streaks than losing streaks).
But as long as we can continue to avoid long periods of losing, we won't complain (and hopefully, you won't either).
As a parting note, PickLogic is about to make a pick for Wednesday, and we thought we'd show you the four selections that "qualified" for a pick (as we do from time to time)...of course, only one made the grade as the pick for the day:
- New York at Indiana, UNDER the total of 215
- LA Clippers at Memphis, UNDER the total of 200
- Houston at Minnesota, UNDER the total of 200
- Detroit at Portland, OVER the total of 178 (this is the pick!)
Typically, PickLogic will go 2-2 or 3-1 when we have four selections; it's doubtful that we'll go 0-4 or 4-0, or even 1-3. Feel free to play along at home!
Thanks again for making November such a great month for PickLogic; we'll do our best to continue to reward your loyalty!

2009 Good So Far for PickLogic (The Whole NBA Season, Really)
We're 40 days into the calendar year, and it's time for the first PickLogic post of 2009. It's been an excellent NBA season so far; the results speak for themselves:
November: +2.75% (6-6 win-loss record)
December: +4.94% (10-6)
January: +3.02% (7-10)
February: +3.31% (5-2, so far)
As usual, we've experienced very consistent growth, regardless of our win-loss record (which speaks to the risk management of the PickLogic system). Which means it's probably time to point out how PickLogic works for gamblers and non-gamblers.
-- If you're a gambler, these results are insignificant. What gambler wants to put $10,000 into a sportsbook account, and see it grow to $10,300 after a month? Sounds pretty boring if you're looking for any type of excitement.
-- If you're an investor, these results are fantastic. Any investor would take a 3%+ month-over-month increase; we're on pace for a 30%+ yearly return. In this market, that's about as good as it gets. (Not to mention the fact that there hasn't been a moment in the last 4 months in which our clients' portfolios were even as much as 10% at-risk - in other words, there was never a chance that more than 10% of our clients' portfolios would be lost.)
So for the NBA season, we're up a shade over 14%, and we're +6.33% for 2009 so far.
(And yes, there are sportsbooks who are starting to refuse our clients if they're following PickLogic to the letter - we take this as a compliment!)
Feel free to write a note to support@picklogic.com, or call us at 888-808-PICK if you'd like to talk to a live person!

PickLogic Progress Report: 1 Month In
Well, it's now been just over a month since PickLogic made its first NBA pick of the 2008-2009 season. After a rough start (1-5 over the first six selections, with 3 losses followed by a win, and then 2 more losses), it's been smooth sailing since.
We've gone 11-3 over the past 14 selections, with 2 four-game winning streaks thrown in (including the one we're currently experiencing). Our overall 12-8 record has translated into some very nice profits for our clients: we're up nearly 6.2% in just over a month's time.
For those of you who have $10,000 accounts, that's a tidy $620 profit -- not bad for an investment, especially in these uncertain times (and for those with higher accounts, well, it probably seems like Christmas has come a little early!).
Now, do we expect to make selections at a 60% clip all year? Not necessarily. PickLogic isn't designed to win much more than half of its games: the main focus is on avoiding long losing streaks. Assuming we can continue to do that, our clients can expect to continue to see their portfolios rise throughout the year.
As many of you have been doing lately, feel free to ask questions by sending an e-mail to support@picklogic.com!

We just believe that you can only see the value by experiencing the picks on a daily basis. (Just go to the site and click on "Free Trial".)
Keep checking the Blog, where we'll post throughout the season about how PickLogic works (and about the picks that are being made). We think it'll be very insightful for you to hear from those of us that are administering PickLogic -- we're really just following the system, just like you.
Our employees all have PickLogic accounts, and do the same things that our clients do. We want to remind everyone that our winning percentage -- while not completely irrelevant -- only tells a small part of the story. We'll talk more about that as we post more.
