Record month for PickLogic: Up 8.5%
The recently-completed calendar month of August was a record one for PickLogic: our clients' portfolios were up 8.52%!
Why so high, you might ask? All we did was go 9-5 for the month: nothing too heroic there. The reason comes down to the way we report our stats - sure, we had a good month, but not THAT good.
These kinds of months are possible when a losing streak bridges a calendar month. July was actually looking pretty good, up about 2% going into the last few days of the month...and then we had a 3-game losing streak, bringing the official total for July to -2.95% - our first losing month!
The ensuing win with the first selection of August immediately brought August's total to +5.18%, and then we added another 3.5% through the rest of the month.
So yes, it's high...but if we're going to take a losing month in July, we get to report a huge month in August.
At any rate, we're now up nearly 11% for baseball season, well within our 13-15% target for the season with a typical September ahead.
