Two Weeks into PickLogic's Baseball Season...

Well, we're two weeks into the season, and PickLogic selections are 4-5 so far, for a meager positive return of just under .7% - which actually isn't that bad, considering that 3 of those losses came in a 3-game losing streak (which always temporarily slows the rate at which PickLogic accounts move forward).

Remember that we don't necessarily expect to make selections at a rate too much above 50% for the season (it should settle in the 53-58% range when all is said and done), but we DO expect to generally avoid losing streaks...and when we do, we expect to gain anywhere from 2-6% each month.

If you're new to PickLogic, we'd love to hear what you think about the way baseball picks are made, and if you have any questions.

For Friday's selection, there were actually four games that were nearly even in our selection process; we had to dig deep into the stats to come up with the eventual pick...and we figured we'd pass them all on to you, as we do occasionally:

  • Philadelphia vs. New York Mets, -118 (this is the pick)
  • San Francisco vs. Colorado, -115
  • Boston at Tampa Bay, -127
  • Seattle vs. Oakland, -112

We'll have a follow-up post after the games to see how the selections did (we predict: 3-1).
