The 5-game Losing Streak is Over...Consider it a Lesson!
We'll start by acknowledging that the PickLogic system -- which has been SO good for such a long time -- has clearly gone into a little valley (after hitting so many peaks). Going into Sunday night's game, it had lost 8 out of 9 (3 straight, then a win, then 5 consecutive losses).
Well, PickLogic was victorious Sunday evening (as the Philadelphia-Sacramento game went OVER the total). And we're certainly not going to gloat about our win-loss record in March (now sitting at 4-8), but we'd be remiss if we didn't point out that, despite our lackluster record, PickLogic clients are only down a miniscule 1.5% for the calendar month.
And PickLogic is still up over 8% for 2009...which, of course, is about as solid an investment as you can make in today's markets.
It's easy for our critics to point out some of the negatives of PickLogic - we understand them as well, so we'll go ahead and point them out ourselves. We don't pull any punches here: the way that PickLogic "works" either fits you, or it doesn't.
- "You have to make such high bets as the losses mount."
Well, it's true that the bets get higher as a losing streak goes. But our history shows that:
a) We generally avoid long losing streaks (and we keep the higher bets to a minimum).
b) Even on a very high bet (like on this one, following a five-game losing streak), it's still less than 20% of our clients' portfolios.
- "It's just a Martingale system." (Martingale systems double up after each loss.)
While there are similarities, our bets don't double after each loss. And our wagers change depending on the confidence the system has in the particular selection. But more importantly, Martingale systems don't rely on specific trends to avoid losing streaks.
PickLogic does this quite well, as it has shown repeatedly, with a very customized system. If you noticed in this most recent streak, PickLogic stuck to OVER selections - we'll do the same (in most cases), and the results will be the same. We will ALWAYS avoid 6-game losing streaks.
We get it: people either agree with this methodology, or they don't. These are the facts, and if you choose to invest using other options, we completely understand. But our results speak for themselves, and we believe they will continue to do so. Are you prepared to miss out on a 20-30% 2009 return? It's certainly up to you.
(If we haven't told you before, ALL PickLogic employees use the system with their own money - so we're going through the same processes that you are.)
Please don't hesitate, as usual, to contact us at support@picklogic.com with any questions.
